The New Gospel

The Church of Christ is not a community of equals in which all the faithful have the same rights.  It is a society of unequals, not only because among the faithful some are clergy and some are laity, but because there is in the church the power from God by which it is given to some to sanctify, teach and govern, and to others it is not.
